About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced administrator to join our Theatre and Anaesthesia Team as the Operations Coordinator. In this role, you would be responsible in facilitating the recruitment of Nurses, HCAs, Anaesthetic Technicians and Administrators.

You will manage multiple reports to keep recruitment progressing and stay on top of the constant changes that occur. Additional administrative responsibilities supporting the perioperative environment will also be a large part of the role.

The salary for this position will be based on experience and in line with the PSA Administration and Clerical Collective agreement. Additional benefits include kiwisaver contributions (if eligible), professional development and wellness support.

About the Team

Within our Theatre and Anaesthesia department, we have 24 Operating Theatres, 2 Post Anaesthetic Care Units, an Endoscopy Unit, an Interventional Radiology Unit and a Day of Surgery Admission Unit. You will work alongside the Charge Nurse Managers, Educators, Team Leaders, other Administrators, the Nurse Manager and the Operations Manager.

About you

Required skills experience you will need to be consider for this role:

  • At least 2 years previous Administration Experience - preferably in a health care setting.
  • Able to manage priorities efficiently.
  • Be self-driven to complete tasks without prompting.
  • Be flexible and adaptable to a fast paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to develop strong relationships and work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Competent with Microsoft Excel.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
