Are you passionate about food? We’re looking for a permanent Asian cook to join our team at Banh Mi EM, a busy takeaway located in Christchurch City Centre. We offer competitive pay rates, comprehensive training. Enjoy a pay rate ranging from $23.5 to $30.00 per hour, based on experience, with a guaranteed minimum of 30 hours of work per week.
Taking and serving food and beverage order, and receiving payment from customers.
Collaborate with the team to ensure timely service
Washing, cutting, measuring and preparing food for cooking
Operating cooking equipment such as grills, ovens, and deep-fat fryers
Ensure kitchen hygiene standards are maintained
Assist with inventory and ingredient management
Knowledge of Vietnamese dishes is an advantage.
The role involves working five days a week, scheduled between Monday to Sunday, with shifts typically running from 3:00am to 10:00pm. If you are eager to bring your passion about food to a dynamic environment, we want to hear from you.
Your Responsibilities will include:

What we’re looking for
A minimum of 2 years experience as a cook in Asian cuisines.Knowledge of Vietnamese dishes is an advantage.
Strong work ethic and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
