• Te Whatu Ora is firmly grounded in the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and is committed to building a health system that serves all New Zealanders.About the roleThe position will have you working as a case manager providing assessment, treatment and coordination.As a registered nurse, occupational therapist or social worker, you will:have a sound knowledge of appropriate youth focused mental health interventionsprovide specialised assessment and treatmentbe familiar with group processes, with a strong emphasis on family inclusion for those youth experiencing moderate to severe mental health difficultiesundertake appropriate mental health assessments (including psychosocial and risk assessments) of the consumers and their family's needs and situationexhibit effective assessment and counselling skills and be clinically competentunderstand the impact of family harm upon consumers and their family especially children and work to reduce the risk of further harmfunction as a member of a multidisciplinary team and liaise appropriately with relevant healthcare professionals, managers and organisations.To be successful in this role you will:be flexiblehave a commitment to delivering excellence to youth and their family in an age-appropriate and culturally appropriate mannerliaise effectively in partnership with community agencies to support the youth's health and wellbeing.If you enjoy working as an integral member of a youth-focused multidisciplinary team and have experience working with youth and their family, you shouldn't let this opportunity pass you by.Registered nurse PDOccupational therapist PDSocial worker PDAbout youYou will be:self-motivated, innovative and an effective problem solverempathetic with patients and their families/whānauable to work autonomously as well as within a multidisciplinary team.To be considered for this position you must have:relevant mental health experience, experience in working with young people experiencing mental health issues, hold current registration and an annual practising certificate as an allied health professional (social worker, occupational therapist)have commitment to maintain social work standards and ethicshold a current APC and registration with the social workers board of New Zealand.The successful applicant must hold a full and clean NZ driver's licence.Salary rangeThis role belongs to the PSA/DHBs Allied, Public Health and Technical Multi-Employer Collective Agreement and falls between:Step 1 ($77,087 p.a.)Step 7 ($107,600 p.a.
