We are looking for an automotive technician to join our team.
Purpose of role:
Purpose of role:
To undertake all routine service and repair work through the prompt and accurate diagnosis of vehicle faults and service needs that delivers the required level of customer satisfaction. Also to carry out Warrant of Fitness checks.
Knowledge/skills/requirements:- Hold as a minimum Trade Certificate, National Certificate or Level Four in Automotive Engineering on the national framework
- Hold a current Warrant of Fitness inspector certificate (a must)
- Have an excellent understanding of the health, safety and HSNO requirements of the automotive industry
- Have the ability to get along well and train others
- Have good computer skills and the ability to understand and use computerized systems
- Have good written and verbal communication skills (English)
- Be a strong team player
- Have the ability to work unsupervised
- Hold a current driver’s license, relevant to the class of vehicles being worked on.
These jobs can be required on all makes and models of vehicles.
We are flexible with your working hours. A minimum of 32 hours a week which can be done on the normal 8hr day/5 days a week or 10hr day/4days a week.
Minimum hourly wage would be $25 and can be up to $45 depending on your skill and productivity.No weekend work required. No on call or after hours work required.
Job is located at our workshop, Hikaia Street, Taumarunui.
