We have three new vacancies and will consider a Clinical Nurse Specialist with evidence of progressing on the Nurse Practitioner Pathway.Mō te tūranga / About the roleAs the Nurse Practitioner (NP) you will deliver independent, accessible and high quality effective nursing care that is fully integrated with other mental health and addiction services including the primary sector and hospital & specialist services.

The NP will provide clinical leadership and expertise for improved outcomes, focused on transition points, specifically for Tamariki (Children), Taiohi (adolescents and young adults) and their whānau (family). This is more than a senior clinical roleit is an opportunity to drive service excellence, champion innovative practice, and ensure that every person in our care receives the best possible recovery in their mental health journey.

-defining move.About the Team/Service/ LocationThe successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to significantly reduce the need for Senior Medical Officer cover in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry with a focus on seamless care across the community and in-patient continuum and early intervention particularly for adolescents and young adults with first presentation psychosisThe roles may extend over the entire Lakes area.

It is essential that applicants are based within the region as the role is not suitable for remote work.

It may also be suitable for Clinical Nurse Specialist who can demonstrate commitment to qualifying as a Nurse Practitioner within the next 24 months.
