CNC Machine Operator

All Trades Contract Services are looking for an experiened CNC Machine Operator to join our team, to work with our client based in Hawkes Bay.

About the role:

• Starting wage of $30.00 per hour
• Minimum guranteed 30 hours per week.
• Working to tight tolerances and quality standards
• Using CAD/CAM technology
• Applicants require a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Studying drawings and specifications to determine suitable material, method and sequence of operations, and machine settings
• Set up and operate a press brake or punch for scheduled work.
• · Select correct CNC machines for the job task.
• · Load, install and correctly set up the tools required.
• · Perform assigned work to time standards and quality expectations.
• · Make routine decisions and use problem solving to resolve manufacturing issues.
• · Report any material, production and quality control issues to the Team Leader in a timely fashion.
• · Work with Team Leader and /or the Production Supervisor to resolve any specification or material issues
• Participate in equipment preventative maintenance at the operator level in conjunction with the Maintenance Engineer
• Ensure that the machine has the correct computer program and necessary tools installed to effectively meet production objectives.
• Ensure that the machine is working at full capacity, stocked with needed materials and well-maintained.
• Ensure that the finished product is defect-free and ready for the next step in production.
