Tiler

We're currently seeking a qualified and experienced Tiler to join our great teams in Auckland. This is a full time role (minimum of 30 hours a week).

The Role

Day-to-day work may be on various construction sites. This will include, but not be limited to:

• using all tiling tools and equipment provided by us and returning them at the end of project
• examining plans, measuring and marking for tiling
• loading and unloading building and construction materials, tools and equipment and transporting them around building sites
• preparing wall and floor surfaces for tiling
• mixing and spreading adhesive
• cutting and shaping tiles needed for edges, corners and around objects such as pipes
• laying ceramic, marble and glass tiles on walls and floors
• laying coloured tiles in patterns to create mosaics
• returning to the site to remedy the project if the job was improperly carried out
• reporting any incidents to the employer and having an awareness of safety issues, especially for working at heights and in confined spaces

Our successful applicants will have:

• At least three years' experience as a Tiler
• A great attitude and work with our team to achieve our targets
• Pay attention to details and time requirements, in all aspects of daily work
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a professional team
• Accept flexible working hours including weekends and public holidays
• Problem solving abilities
• Great people skills both with fellow workmates and customers
• A good level of physical fitness
• Honest, trustworthy & well presented
• Comply with our health and safety policy
• Be drug and alcohol free
