Strathclyde was established in July 2014 in Christchurch to create solutions for complex groundworks, building and landscaping projects. We take care of the entire project, from the design stage throughout construction and project management.

We offer a full "end to end" package including a combination of building, earthworks and landscaping crews. We excel in challenging and complex projects.

Our business is thriving, we've got a great team and are looking for someone to join us in the role of Excavator Operator.

Due to the nature of our work, this role requires a real superstar! We've got big boots to fill and we need someone with proven experience on complex sites who is able to hit the ground running from day one. You'll be self motivated with excellent problem solving skills.
Works include excavations, gravel rafts, RTW construction, concrete and asphalt prep, small subdivisons. While the role is primarily operating an excavator, we are a small crew so you will be expecting to get out and set heights, use plate, order materials, co-ordinate trucks.

You will not be in the excavator full time.

Responsible for overseeing and supervising a crew undertaking various earthworks, you will need to:

Be a competent operator (we operate a range of 1.7-15T excavators)
Hold a full class 1 licence
Be very experienced and confident working around services, in tight spaces and on hill sites - safe operating skills in these conditions are essential
Be able read and interpret plans
Have excellent problem solving skills and attention to detail
Be punctual, have a good attitude and promote our core values

This is a full time position working Monday - Friday 7:30am - 5:00pm.
