Assistant Manager

Pay Rate: NZD$25 – $31.00 per hour (depending on experience)

Position Overview

We are seeking two dedicated and motivated hospitality professionals to join our team as Assistant Managers. This role is key to ensuring smooth daily restaurant operations, delivering exceptional customer service, and supporting the achievement of business goals.

Key Duties:

• Food Preparation: Assist with basic tasks such as chopping vegetables, preparing dough, and organizing toppings.
• Hygiene and Cleaning: Wash dishes, sanitize workstations, and ensure that the kitchen complies with all food safety regulations.
• Inventory Management: Help unload deliveries and organize stock in the chiller and pantry.
• Assist the Store Manager with day-to-day store operations
• Supervise staff and ensure smooth service during shifts
• Provide high-quality customer service and resolve complaints professionally
• Assist with customer deliveries (driving required)
• Support staff recruitment, training, and rostering, Handling Customer complaints
• Monitor stock levels, ordering, and waste management
• Maintain store cleanliness, presentation, and food safety standards
• Maintain and monitor store equipment, ensuring proper function and safety
• Act as Store Manager in their absence

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in retail or hospitality, preferably in a supervisory role
• Full and valid driver licence
• Ability to work split shifts, late nights, weekends, and public holidays
• Ability to lift and move items up to 25kg
• Experience with equipment maintenance and basic troubleshooting
• Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills
• Customer service, problem-solving, and organisational abilities
• Food Safety Certification preferred
• Must agree to be subject to drug testing prior to and during employment
