Chefs

We require experienced chefs to cook breakfast and lunch in our popular Cafe.

Must have at least three years relevant experience

• Prepare food and ingredients required.
• Cooking and presentation of food.
• Ensuring quality and quantity consistency.
• Participate in menu development.
• Ensure that recipes and proportions are strictly adhered to, to ensure consistency, quality and cost control. Follow set policies to maintain standards for food safety in all food preparation areas.
• Ensure all equipment and work environments are operational.
• Inform the designated management if any hazards are identified that may affect work conditions.
• Order and maintain inventory to ensure efficient operations.

Pay rate - $28 to $32 per hour. Minimum 30 hours per week.

Sushi Chef

You will closely work with our chefs and meet food and hygiene standards and other regulations associated with keeping the workplace safe. You should have prior kitchen experience from Japanese or similar Asian cuisine restaurants for at least one year.

In this role, you key responsibilities and duties include:

• Providing the guests with the highest quality of food and standard of services. Knowing the proper methods of cutting fish, meat, and vegetables.
• Preparing stocks, soup, and sauce.
• Properly cooking rice.
• Selecting fresh and superior ingredients.
• Checking the quality of raw and cooked products.
• Preparing food items while ensuring the right quantity and full adherence to recipe and standards in food quality. Ensuring all foods are store properly in temperature controlled equipment.

To be successful in this role, you will need to: Prior experience in making sushi or Japanese food for at least three year

Know how to handle fish and ingredients for Japanese food

Pay rate - $28 to $32 per hour. Minimum 30 hours per week.
