About the RoleTe Whatu Ora Waikato manages the payroll requirements for a large number collective employment agreements, servicing approximately 9,000 employees. We are a major organisation making a difference in our community, with a high volume of critical, complex and challenging projects underway, such as Holidays Act rectification/remediation and an exciting pipeline of activity in the making.
This is a high volume, and dynamic environment, working closely with key business partners.We require an experienced Payroll Analyst who is passionate about continuous improvement. This role requires an individual who is adaptable and resilient.
You will be a core part of the payroll team.You will have key deliverables around future state processes for Payroll and be expected to get involved in all areas that require your skills. This means we are looking for someone with strong analytical and documentation skills as well as detailed payroll knowledge.We are looking for people who are payroll savvy and can work with little direction on complex payroll analysis.

Your ability to communicate and to be resourceful to ensure you have the answers you need is key. Key responsibilities:Supporting the business processes feeding into Payroll to ensure continuous quality improvementData Analysis and reportingSupporting the Payroll Team to automate manual transactional workTo maximise the benefit of the HRIS SystemCreating a positive workplace culture that values diversity, inclusion and equityDeveloping and refining future state Payroll processesProviding day to day support to the Payroll Manager and other Payroll personnel as required Click here to view the position description.
