2xIndian Cook Specialised in South Indian Cuisine
The south Indian cook will have two year work experience or equivalent of similar experience.
The role is full time 35 to 45 hours per week depending on business demand and will requires to work on roaster basis and must be available to work on public holiday and Indian Festival.
Pay rate for this job will be depend on work experience from $25 to $35 per hour depending on skills level of applicant.
Key Responsibilities in detail:Prepare and cook authentic South Indian dishes:
This includes dosas, idlis, vadas, sambar, rasam, chutneys, and various curries etc using traditional recipes and techniques.
Preparing Ingredients: Measuring, weighing, and portioning ingredients according to recipes, ensuring they are fresh and of good quality.Maintaining Hygiene and Safety:
Adhering to strict hygiene and safety standards in the kitchen, including cleaning and sanitizing equipment and work areas.
Operating Equipment: Using various kitchen equipment safely and effectively, such as ovens, fryers, and mixing machines.Presenting and Packaging:
Presenting finished dishes attractively, sometimes for display in a store, and packaging them appropriately for sale or service.
Quality Control: Ensuring the quality of ingredients and finished products, making adjustments as necessary to maintain consistency.Teamwork: Collaborating with other kitchen staff to meet production targets and deadlines.
Adaptability: Being flexible and willing to work in different shifts and potentially assist with other tasks as needed.
Monitors and maintains inventory of food supplies and equipmentAssists in the development of new recipes and menu items
Cook also requires perform other kitchen task as and when required by business demand.
