Three Brothers Hamilton is a busy privately owned building supply company based in Te Rapa, Hamilton.

We specialise in plywood, panel products, timber, and hardware, supplying both DIY customers and Trade professionals throughout NZ.

We offer an opportunity for a motivated and reliable Assistant Manager to join our growing team.

This is a varied and hands-on role offering long-term opportunity for the right person. You will be involved in the day-to-day operation of the business including sales, customer service, stock control, dispatch, yard operations, and supporting management and staff.

This is not solely an office-based position — applicants must be prepared to work actively within the yard and warehouse environment as part of a close-knit team.

Key Responsibilities

Includes, but is not limited to:
  • Supporting the day-to-day operational functions of the business
  • Processing customer sales and enquiries
  • Providing excellent customer service and after-sales support
  • Preparing and dispatching customer orders
  • Receiving and processing inward goods
  • Assisting with stock control and inventory management
  • Creating and maintaining product displays
  • General yard presentation and maintenance
  • Supporting the Manager and supervising staff when required
We Are Looking For Someone Who Is:
  • Honest, reliable, and trustworthy (must be able to pass police vetting)
  • Well organised with strong attention to detail
  • A confident communicator with excellent customer service skills
  • A hands-on team player with leadership ability
  • Motivated, practical, and willing to learn
  • Well presented with a positive attitude and sense of humour
  • Flexible, open-minded, and able to use initiative
  • Comfortable using computers and learning POS systems
  • Passionate about building products, timber, and hardware
  • Committed to workplace safety and following procedures
Preferred Experience & Requirements
  • Experience within the building supply, timber, hardware, or construction industry
  • Physically fit and capable of working in an active environment with some heavy lifting
  • Good verbal and written communication skills with basic numerical ability
  • Forklift licence with F endorsement and OSH certificate preferred (not essential)
  • Available to work full-time, initially including Saturday mornings

Successful applicants will be required to undergo pre-employment drug screening and police vetting.
