Senior Delivery Lead - Banking

Our client, a leading organisation in the financial services sector, is seeking an experienced Delivery Lead / Project Manager to lead key initiatives across their banking and payments portfolio. This role will play a pivotal part in delivering strategic programmes that enhance digital capability, streamline customer experiences, and ensure compliance within a fast-evolving regulatory landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end delivery of projects in the banking and payments space, from initiation through to deployment and transition.
• Work closely with business stakeholders, technology teams, and external vendors to ensure alignment and timely delivery.
• Manage scope, schedule, budget, risks, and dependencies across complex initiatives.
• Drive governance, reporting, and assurance activities to meet internal and regulatory standards.
• Champion Agile and/or hybrid delivery methodologies where appropriate.

Ideal Candidate:

• Proven experience managing large-scale projects within banking or financial services, particularly in payments, core banking, or transaction processing.
• Strong understanding of regulatory and compliance considerations in the financial sector (e.g., ISO 20022, open banking, PCI DSS).
• Skilled in stakeholder engagement, vendor management, and cross-functional leadership.
• Experience with Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery approaches.
• Excellent communication, planning, and problem-solving abilities.
