You will also be responsible for promoting the service by supporting specialists, general practitioners and allied health professions as well as contributing to the national service meetings and clinical guidelines.If you are keen to make a difference and have the experience needed to hit the ground running, we want to hear from you!For further details, please refer to the position description here.About the Team/ServiceThe New Zealand Familial Gastrointestinal Cancer Service (NZFGCS) is national service and is part of the Health New Zealand| Te Whatu Ora (Health NZ) National Bowel Screening Programme (NBSP) strategy; providing assessment, diagnosis, clinical management advice and long-term care for those individuals and families who have a familial predisposition to gastrointestinal cancers.

Our multidisciplinary clinical team of Family History Assessors, Gastroenterologists and Colorectal Surgeons identify, assess and manage people with familial gastrointestinal (GI) cancer syndromes. The team also provides education, information and support to families, including medical management advice and a colonoscopy surveillance referral programme.About youYou must be a Consultant Gastroenterologist, registered with the New Zealand Medical Council.
