Duty Manager
Big Barrel is proudly the largest Independent 100% NZ Family Owned & operated Liquor group in NZ. Big Barrel is a specialist liquor retailer formed in 2003 and has since grown to over 50 stores nationwide.
Big Barrel Enterprises Limited T/A Big Barrel at Newtown, Waitangirua, Kent Terrace, Miramar or Barrel Brothers at Newtown Bar. We are looking for 5 full-time and some part-time (2-3) enthusiastic candidates with some retail experience to join our team in the following areas: -
Big Barrel NewtownBig Barrel Miramar
Big Barrel Kent Terrace
Big Barrel Waitangirua
Barrel Brothers @Newtown Bar
This role includes but is not limited to:- Customer Service
- Inventory control,
- Managing local promotions and displays.
- Receiving/dispatching deliveries if required.
- Customer Service

- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail
- Empathy with our customers
- Extremely clear and professional phone communication
- Very customer service oriented
Unflappable under pressure.
- Process and systems are driven. Efficient and effective!
Definite sense of humor.
- You need to be physically fit as there will be some lifting involved.
- You must have a valid Duty Managers Certificate & LCQ Certificate.
- Minimum 1 year of retail experience required without Duty Manager Certificate and Applicate must be willing to get Duty Manager certificate with in 3months of Joining.
