About the Role
We are looking for a Machine Operator to join our team at our plant based in Hornby.
We are looking for a Machine Operator for the 4pm- 12am Monday
- Friday night shift with some potential for overtime.
You will be responsible for monitoring machine output, ensuring the products meet client specifications and all products are completed to a high standard of quality.
If you do not have experience in machine operating in a manufacturing environment, full training will be provided.This role does require some heavy lifting so it is required that you are physically fit.
You will attend a full site induction as well as full training on SOPs and you will have the opportunity to progress through the levels
- this is encouraged.
The main duties include:
- Maintain continuous operation of the range of production machinery
- Ensure batch weight inputs are correct and match the job requirements
- Maintain optimum machine output in line with the production plan
- All scrap is monitored and minimised where possible
- Strive to upskill and nominate areas for potential improvement
- Conduct quality checks on the finished product
- Conduct daily, weekly and monthly Master Cleaning Schedule
- Demonstrate good numeracy and literacy skills; as well as good mechanical understanding
- Reliable transport to get yourself to and from work
- Previous experience operating machinery in a factory environment is advantageous
- Possess a keen and positive attitude and can easily adapt and learn new systems
- Must be a team player
- Able to pass a pre-employment drug test and have no criminal convictions
- Thorough with good attention to detail
- Physically fit and able to do some heavy lifting
