About the Role

We are looking for a Machine Operator to join our team at our plant based in Hornby.

We are looking for a Machine Operator for the 4pm
  • 12am Monday
  • Friday night shift with some potential for overtime.

You will be responsible for monitoring machine output, ensuring the products meet client specifications and all products are completed to a high standard of quality.

If you do not have experience in machine operating in a manufacturing environment, full training will be provided.
This role does require some heavy lifting so it is required that you are physically fit.
You will attend a full site induction as well as full training on SOPs and you will have the opportunity to progress through the levels
  • this is encouraged.

The main duties include:

  • Maintain continuous operation of the range of production machinery
  • Ensure batch weight inputs are correct and match the job requirements
  • Maintain optimum machine output in line with the production plan
  • All scrap is monitored and minimised where possible
  • Strive to upskill and nominate areas for potential improvement
  • Conduct quality checks on the finished product
  • Conduct daily, weekly and monthly Master Cleaning Schedule
Skills & Requirements
  • Demonstrate good numeracy and literacy skills; as well as good mechanical understanding
  • Reliable transport to get yourself to and from work
  • Previous experience operating machinery in a factory environment is advantageous
  • Possess a keen and positive attitude and can easily adapt and learn new systems
  • Must be a team player
  • Able to pass a pre-employment drug test and have no criminal convictions
  • Thorough with good attention to detail
  • Physically fit and able to do some heavy lifting
