About the role:
The New Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities across warehousing, distribution, eCommerce fulfilment, and integrated supply chain solutions. The role plays a key part in driving growth for Fliway & Supply Chain Solutions by acquiring new customers, building long-term partnerships, and contributing to the commercial strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development & Sales- Proactively identify, target, and convert new 3PL and supply chain opportunities.
- Build a robust sales pipeline aligned to strategic priorities and revenue targets.
- Lead the development and delivery of proposals, tenders, and presentations.
- Negotiate commercial agreements that are profitable and sustainable.
- Build and maintain strong senior-level relationships with potential customers.
- Promote Fliway & SCS capabilities as the partner of choice for integrated logistics.
- Ensure a seamless handover of new customers to operations teams for onboarding.
- Work closely with Operations, Finance, and Solutions teams to design tailored supply chain solutions.
- Provide market and customer insights to support continuous improvement and innovation.
- Champion a customer-first approach, ensuring new solutions are both operationally sound and commercially viable.
- Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activity, and customer expectations.
- Contribute to the broader commercial strategy by identifying opportunities for growth and differentiation.
- Represent Fliway & SCS at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.
What We Offer:
- Full Time, 45 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:30pm in Auckland!

What you Bring:
Essential:
- Proven experience in 3PL / Contract Logistics / Supply Chain business development.
- Strong commercial acumen with a track record of delivering new revenue.
- Excellent communication, influencing, and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated success in leading negotiations and closing mid-to-large contracts.
Preferred:
- Knowledge of eCommerce fulfilment, transport networks, and international freight.
- Established network across key industries (retail, FMCG, manufacturing, etc.).
- Tertiary qualifications in Business, Supply Chain, or related discipline.
