Therapy Assistant
The Burns, Plastics and Paediatric team at Middlemore Hospital is looking for an individual to help provide excellent care to our patients.You will work alongside Occupational therapists and Physiotherapists to help patients achieve their functional potential by:Assisting with personal careAssisting with kitchen programmesHelping patients to mobilise and perform their exercise programmesEnsuring appropriate equipment are ordered and maintainedStock taking & ordering new stockMaintaining order spread sheetsQualities we are looking for include:Health Care Assistant qualification level 4 (preferred)Experience working with people from a wide range of ages and culturesAn understanding of rehabilitation, illness and disabilityExcellent written and verbal communication skillsComputer skillsAble to lift and carryFull NZ drivers licenceWorking at Health New ZealandHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is dedicated to ensuring excellent healthcare for the people of New Zealand.
