Production Butcher (Lamb)

Are you a skilled butcher with a passion for precision and quality? Royalburn is looking for an experienced Lamb Butcher to join our high-production processing team.
About the Role:
As a key member of our butchery team, you’ll be responsible for:
- Processing whole lamb carcasses into individual cuts to specification
- Performing abattoir work as required
- Maintaining consistency in cut size and presentation based on established guidelines
- Cleaning down work areas and equipment at the end of each shift
- Working in a fast-paced, high-output environment where quality and hygiene are critical
- Working with and training apprentices
What We’re Looking For:
- Qualified butcher with formal training
- Minimum 2 years' experience in lamb butchery (ideally in a production or abattoir setting)
- Strong understanding of meat safety and hygiene standards
- Ability to work efficiently and maintain consistency under pressure
- Experience in an abattoir/slaughterhouse setting
- Team player with a good work ethic and attention to detail
- A meat inspector's licence or the ability to obtain one would be advantageous but not essential
- Full-time, 40 hours, stable employment
