- Kōrero mō te tūranga This role is the lead for Security settings within MFAT as well as holding the Deputy Chief Security Officer delegations.
It is focused on ensuring that our policies, practices and standards are in place and compliant, drawing on the experiences of others and a deep knowledge of security and the Protective Security Requirements (PSR).
You will work with teams both on and offshore delivering practical, fit for purpose advice.Deliver the security strategy, policies and process for the Ministry.
Lead the security assurance processes across the network to ensure they comply with policies, including ensuring that any changes required are monitored and managed.
Ensure our offshore facilities comply with certification and accreditation requirements, working across NZ Inc as needed to achieve this.
Lead on complex security issues.
International travel required.

The full salary range for this role is $145,000 to $196,000 total remuneration, inclusive of our 3% KiwiSaver employer contribution.
We expect to appoint around the midpoint $170,000- give or take depending on your level of experience.

We'd like to hear from you if you are an experienced security professional with the following skills and experience: A wide experience base that incorporates physical, personal and information security.
An excellent understanding of the Certification and Accreditation process for secure spaces.An ability to find ways to ensure that security policies and practices enhance business effectiveness.
Ability to problem solve in complex environments.
Understanding of The Treaty of Waitangi/Te Tiriti, Te Reo Māori and Māori customs and protocols would be beneficial.
