Vet Nurse

We’re seeking an experienced, friendly Vet Nurse to join a close-knit and supportive team on a temporary contract until May 2026.
Hourly Rate: $35 per hour
Hours: Our standard office hours are 8:00am – 4:30pm, Monday to Friday, however flexibility is a huge priority for us. If you are interested but unable to commit to the below get in touch for a chat.
This is a fantastic behind-the-scenes role for someone who enjoys hands-on nursing without the pressures of client interactions.

Location: Henderson based, easy street parking available nearby
About the Role
You’ll work closely alongside a Veterinarian and experienced Vet Nurse, ensuring excellent care for animals in a respectful, positive, and well-supported environment.
As part of the clinical team, your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with surgeries, including preparation, anaesthetic monitoring, and post-operative care
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across the clinic and surgical areas
- Administering medications and treatments in line with veterinary direction
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date medical records
- Providing compassionate care and educating pet owners on post-operative care and general animal health
- Assisting with the handling and lifting of dogs up to 25kg (always performed as a team)
This is a physically active role, so a good level of fitness is essential.
Key Skills & Experience
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Previous Vet Nurse experience
- Proficiency in surgical preparation and assisting with surgeries
- Strong skills in anaesthetic monitoring
- Confidence in animal handling
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills
- A compassionate, patient-focused approach to animal care
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to maintain strict hygiene standards
