Wastewater Pump Station Technician (Full time perm position)**
Location: Queenstown
Our client is a **global leader in water, waste, and energy management**. We are currently seeking a skilled Wastewater Pump Station Technician** to join their team. This vital role is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation, maintenance, and repair of wastewater pump stations and associated equipment.The technician will play a key role in maintaining compliance with operational standards to support the safe and effective transfer of wastewater to treatment facilities.
This position reports to the Operations Supervisor (or their delegate) and does not have any direct reports. You'll be joining a team committed to sustainability, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.

- Conduct routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on wastewater pump stations and related equipment
- Respond to system alarms and diagnose equipment faults or failures
- Operate pump stations manually or through automated control systems to ensure optimal flow
- Record and maintain accurate operational data, including pump hours, flow rates, and electrical readings
- Assist with the installation and commissioning of new or replacement pump station equipment
- A mechanical and/or electrical trade qualification (or equivalent) is essential
- Class 2 and/or Class 4 driver's license preferred
- Prior hands-on experience in the water or process industry is highly desirable
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills, with the ability to implement practical solutions
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, contractors, and stakeholders
- Comfortable with digital tools and adaptable to evolving technologies and systems
