THE CAREER OPPORTUNITY:

We are looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our busy Auckland team. With a passion for building maintenance, you will be a strong all-rounder with a broad range of trade skills.

Your duties will include:
  • Performing a range of building maintenance tasks – repairing buildings, doors, windows, timber framing
  • Internal and external refurbishment of buildings
  • Framing work, plasterboard replacement, minor plaster work
  • Minor Interior & exterior paintwork
  • Decking and cladding, hard landscaping e.g. fencing
  • Carry out site inspections to identify and resolve issues as required
  • Quoting on minor project works
  • Coordinating staff & subcontractors where necessary
  • Attending to after-hours calls and emergencies where required
  • Completing all jobs to a high standard to mitigate callbacks
  • Planning daily to tackle jobs as efficiently as possible
  • Maintaining your vehicle and company equipment, reporting any issues promptly.
  • Complying with all Health, Safety Environmental and Quality (HSEQ) policies and procedures
ABOUT YOU:
  • Experience: 2–5 years in trade or building maintenance. Experience measuring and quoting small jobs is highly advantageous.
  • Tech-Savvy: Comfortable using trade-based mobile apps for job management and reporting.
  • Safety First: A proactive approach to Health & Safety. Valid Site Safe, First Aid, EWP, or Working at Heights tickets are highly regarded.
  • Reliability: Punctual and prepared for early morning starts. You must hold a valid Full Class 1 Driver’s Licence.
  • Soft Skills: Strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to represent the "Access" brand professionally on-site.
  • Work Ethic: Capable of working independently or as part of a team, even in adverse weather or challenging environments.
