Salmon farm Shift Worker - Stewart Island

Sanford’s Big Glory Bay Salmon Farm sits in the pristine waters of Rakiura / Stewart Island, surrounded by native bush, abundant wildlife, and the open sea. It’s one of the world’s most unique aquaculture locations — and a workplace unlike anywhere else.

On calm days, it’s paradise. On rough days, it takes resilience, teamwork, and grit. This is hands-on outdoor work in all conditions, and we’re looking for people who are ready to step up, work hard, and be part of something special.

**About the role**

We currently have three opportunities available for Shift Workers to join our Salmon Farm team.

This role offers an outstanding lifestyle roster of 7 days on / 7 days off, with transport provided from Bluff. While on shift, you’ll stay in our onsite barge accommodation and work alongside a close-knit crew.

As part of the team, you’ll be involved in:

• Feeding, monitoring, and harvesting salmon
• Moving and grading fish
• Net cleaning and general farm maintenance
• Supporting barge operations and daily tasks
• Working safely as a team in a marine environment
