We are on the lookout for a superstar Caregiver to join our team – someone who naturally builds relationships, communicates well, and is passionate about supporting positive learning outcomes for children.
As a Caregiver at BestStart, you'll have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young children by providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment. You'll be part of a close-knit team, reporting to our Centre Manager and working alongside passionate Teachers who are dedicated to quality care and education.
This is a permanent, full-time role (40 hours per week, Monday to Friday), and we're looking for someone who is flexible and committed to working rostered shifts as part of our collaborative team.
Your day-to-day will include:
- Providing exceptional care and education to our tamariki
- Supporting learning through play and meaningful interactions
- Assisting across classrooms and covering staff breaks
- Contributing to centre routines and operations
- Documenting children's learning and assisting with planning
- Participating in team meetings and embracing our centre philosophy
What We're Looking For:
- A natural affinity for children, especially infants and toddlers
- Experience working with children under five
- Strong communication skills and a team-focused attitude
- High level of initiative and ability to take direction
- Willingness to incorporate Te Reo and tikanga Maori into daily practice
- ECE qualification is not required for this role
