Automation Engineer - Intermediate / Senior

You will be delivering specialised industrial process automation services across a diverse range of process and manufacturing industries. Based in Timaru, with clients throughout the Otago and Canterbury region we work across Dairy processing, Food processing, Water / Waste Water systems, Machine control, Manufacturing and Refrigeration.
This is an active role including PLC programming, HMI development, Process Function description development, design of control strategies, plant data collection and database management. Liaising with clients to design, cost and deliver successful solutions will provide opportunity to take a project from concept to completion.A full job description is available on request.
You will have developed strong automation / process engineering skills that assist the organisation to meet client needs, with a strong focus on solution delivery and quality. Being part of a team is important to you, however you also have the ability to work independently as required.The ability and willingness to pass on learned knowledge within the company will allow you to play an active role in supporting new graduates and apprentices within our wider team.
Ideally you would have experience in the following platforms: o Schneider – EcoStruxure Control Expert
o Rockwell – Studio 5000o AVEVA(Wonderware) – System Platform
o Inductive Automation - Ignition
In addition you should have the skills and ability to join our paid on call roster to provide after hours services to the industries that we support.

Experience: 2 -3+ years post graduate Automation experience, high degree of technical competency.
Seeking Intermediate or Senior Automation Engineers, this is not an entry level role. Remuneration will be based on skill and experience, the annual wage listed is indicative of the range across Intermediate to Senior Engineers. You may have a relevant degree, or have built significant experience across controls systems in a related discipline to progress into Automation.
