About the Role

You can join our dedicated team of health care professionals in a fast paced and supportive environment as a Health Care Assistant.
As a Health Care Assistant you will play a key role in delivering quality patient care for our patients and whanau.
A typical day as a Health Care Assistant can include:
- Assisting with basic patient care
- Restocking of supplies
- Maintaining a clean and safe environment
- Other such duties that will assist with the smoth running of the department
The successful candidate will be provided with a comprehensive orientation programme and supportive staff development opportunities.
The salary for this position will be based on experience and in line with the NZNO agreement. Additional benefits include kiwisaver contributions (if eligible), shift allowances, professional development and wellness support.

About the Service
The Waikato ED is the major regional referral and trauma centre for the Midland region. We see approximately 85,000 patients per year with a broad case mix of presentations from paediatrics to geriatrics, medicine to trauma there is no aspect of emergency medical care we do not provide.
About you
The successful applicant will need:

- sensitive to the needs of the people around you.
Current experience working in a NZ health care, emergency / critical care department is essential.
