Senior Project Manager - ICT

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our client in Wellington, delivering a portfolio of complex ICT initiatives across large government and enterprise environments.

This role suits someone who has operated as a vendor-side Project Manager and is comfortable working in that environment, balancing delivery, commercial considerations, and stakeholder expectations. The work includes a mix of programme-style portfolio delivery, with multiple projects contributing to an overarching roadmap, alongside a range of concurrent, in-flight projects.

• Leading delivery of complex ICT projects across infrastructure, cloud, security, and network domains
• Managing multiple workstreams within portfolio and programme-style environments
• Owning project scope, schedules, budgets, and reporting across varied delivery models
• Producing clear plans, forecasts, RAID logs, and governance reporting
• Working closely with commercial and delivery teams on scoping, pricing, and contractual considerations
• Operating confidently across Agile and Waterfall, tailoring delivery approaches to suit different environments
• Ensuring strong governance, assurance, and delivery discipline throughout the project lifecycle

• Proven experience delivering complex ICT projects in a vendor or managed services environment
• Background across infrastructure delivery and managed IT services for enterprise-scale organisations
• Strong understanding of project scoping, commercial models, and contract-driven delivery
• Excellent planning, financial tracking, and executive-level reporting skills
• Comfortable managing ambiguity and multiple stakeholders across large, regulated environments
• Formal project management credentials (PMI, PRINCE2 or equivalent)
