The Opportunity

We`re looking for aqualified and experienced Electricianwith solid industrial experience to join our Engineering team working from Monday to Friday, 7.30 am to 4.00 pm, and providing cover for shift electricians during leave or training.

In this role, you'll be working in a complex manufacturing environment, maintaining and improving our electrical, instrumentation, and control systems to keep the sugar flowing across New Zealand and beyond.

The primary responsibilities for this role include:

• Delivering planned and reactive maintenance across electrical, instrumentation, PLC/SCADA and control systems
• Supporting the electrical team and production crew to minimise downtime and improve plant reliability
• Troubleshooting and assisting with breakdowns across site electrical infrastructure (VSDs, weighers, networks, etc.)
• Ensuring all hazardous area electrical installations comply with relevant standards
• Identifying and driving improvements in reliability, safety, and efficiency
• Participating in capital projects, upgrades and instrumentation development

The successful applicant will:

• Current NZ Practising Licence - Registration class Electrician as a minimum.
• 2-5 years' industrial experience in manufacturing or processing environments
• Working knowledge of PLC/SCADA systems, networks, and instrumentation
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostics capability
• Health & Safety mindset - you look out for others and speak up
• Ability to collaborate with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams
• Advantageous: Instrumentation or hazardous area certification
• Be eligible to work in New Zealand immediately.
