We are seeking a Branch Manager experienced in the business moving and delivery space to lead and grow our expanding moving, freight, and installations branch in Auckland.

The Opportunity:

As Branch Manager, you will own the full operational performance of the business — leading teams, managing logistics, and ensuring we deliver consistent, high-quality results.

You will be responsible for the growth and success of the branch, spending time identifying sales opportunities, buildng relationships, quoting and invoicing jobs.

You’ll bring structure to scheduling and fleet planning, strengthen systems and processes, plan relocations and check in to site to monitor progress, and drive cost efficiency while maintaining exceptional service standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Sales and performance: You will identify and convert sales, growing revenue.
• Operational Leadership: Oversee all daily operations, ensuring resource efficiency, utilisation, and delivery excellence.
• Strategic Planning: Forecast workload, manage capacity across service lines, and align resources to business growth plans.
• Team & Culture: Lead and develop a capable field and office team that performs with consistency, safety, and pride.
• Financial Performance: Track KPIs, cost per hour, fleet efficiency, and margin performance; identify and action improvements.
• Fleet & Compliance: Manage vehicle utilisation, maintenance schedules, and regulatory compliance.
• Client Delivery: Ensure client commitments are met with precision and professionalism, fostering repeat and referral business.
• Process Improvement: Implement systems that reduce downtime, improve accuracy, and enhance team productivity.

What You’ll Bring:

• 5+ years’ experience in operations management within transport, logistics, or commercial moving.
• Proven ability to lead multi-site operations and deliver measurable performance improvements.
• Strong understanding of fleet planning, driver scheduling, and freight logistics.
• A commercial mindset — you understand cost control, margins, and how operational decisions impact profitability.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, able to manage and motivate diverse teams.
• Confidence with operational technology (job management, GPS, quoting/invoicing systems).
• A commitment to safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
