About the RoleWe have an exciting opportunity for permanent full-time social worker. You will be working at Waikato Hospital with the Acute Social Work Team. This role primarily works Monday Friday 7:30 am to 5:00 pm. The start and end time is negotiable between these hours.This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled social worker to apply their skills, knowledge and understanding to a varied caseload, coordinating care and providing therapeutic interventions, solutions and advocacy to identified psycho-social needs.

Key responsibilities:Deliver high-quality health social work using the social work process to support clients and their whānau.Build and maintain strong internal and external networks for a coordinated social work service.Assess clients support needs within their own environment.Prepare accurate documentation and reports for clients, medical specialists, and referrals to community support services.Actively contribute to social work and multidisciplinary team activities, providing services within designated clinical units as required.Click here to view the position description.
