Role:

This role is ideal for a Senior Quantity Surveyor with extensive experience in both residential and commercial construction within New Zealand, along with relevant NZ qualifications. You'll take pride in your strong interpersonal skills and your ability to build effective relationships across all levels - from site teams to senior management.

We're seeking a high-performing individual with a keen eye for detail and a proven track record of successfully managing deadlines and budgets. In this role, you'll be responsible for cost control across current projects, including the setup of cost reports, estimates, and tracking uncommitted costs.

You'll need to confidently interpret construction drawings and tender documents, obtain and assess subcontractor quotes, and review inclusions, exclusions, and contract conditions. A solid understanding of industry-relevant software and digital tools is essential for success in this position.

What we are looking for:

  • Previous cost estimation and contract management in Residential & Commercial construction
  • Understanding of construction laws, regulations and industry standards
  • Strong communicator who is confident dealing with suppliers, contractors and all levels of management
  • Confident with evaluating and negotiating contracts and proficiency in QS software and tools
  • H&S conscious and a good level of computer literacy
