Stonemason-Team leader

We are currently looking for a motivated and dependable individual for a permanent full timeStonemason – Team leaderposition to work within Waikato Region, with 40 hours per week, from Monday to Friday.

Working in this industry would provide the successful applicant with numerous opportunities for advancement, and we would be delighted to assist those applicants who have a positive attitude, are dependable, and are seeking professional advancement.

On a daily basis, the successful applicant will be working alongside our stonemason team on various construction sites. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Assisting managing director in planning and organizing stonemason team activities from end to end.
  • Ensure that all stonemasons adhere to site health & safety and project quality to meet the required standard and handle any issues that arise.
  • Train newly hired stonemasons of their duties and technical problems.
  • Plan job and tasks, measure and adjust alignment
  • Lay bricks and masonry slab blocks according to design
  • Mix and apply mortar between joints
  • Cut and polish stone slabs and benchtops using power tools
  • Shape bricks and masonry slab blocks according to requirement
  • Install benchtops for residential and commercial
  • Clean and tidy up worksite after completion

The successful applicant must have minimum 2 years relevant work experience in the same field/industry.

Our company provides an attractive and competitive income of $35 per hour, with the possibility of further negotiation to $38 per hour depending on your skills.
