We are a Porirua based rental company (hire shop). We specialize in high quality equipment from small DIY jobs through to small earthmoving equipment. We are Kiwi owned & give our customers the best service experience possible.

The Role

We are looking for another counter / yard person to help us grow our business in the Porirua area. You will work in a fast-paced team to coordinate hire bookings, answer phone calls, service customers, and process sales from trade customers.

This is a full-time role that requires commitment to an early morning start and the odd Saturday based around 45-hour weeks.

• Serving at our counter area; answering calls and serving customers
• Manage hire enquiries, bookings, quotes & demonstrate equipment
• Complete pre hire & post hire inspections before invoicing
• Loading/unloading vehicles & trailers
• Assist with deliveries and other operations
• Ensure hires for customers are prepared and processed promptly and accurately
• Organising mechanical repairs with the workshop
• Ensure complaints and issues raised by customers are quickly resolved

• Customer service and/ or trades experience eg, building, landscaping, contractor etc
• This role has heavy lifting & lots of moving around so you will need to be fit & active
• Good level of computer/IT literacy
• Have an interest in machinery and DIY projects
• Excellent customer service manner and communication skills both written and verbal
• You will be a team player not afraid to get your hands dirty
• Able to work some Saturdays on our roster
• Flexibility to get the job done, be energetic and have a good attitude
• A valid and current NZ driver’s licence
