Te Herenga Waka – Victoria University of Wellington is currently recruiting a Property and Office Manager to join the Property Services team on a permanent, full-time basis.

This role sits at the heart of the University’s campus operations, managing a diverse leasehold property portfolio and delivering high-quality office management and administrative support. Flexible working arrangements may be considered.

Key responsibilities:

  • Managing the University’s leasehold property, retail, and carparking portfolios, ensuring efficient operations and excellent stakeholder relationships.
  • Leading office operations, including financial processing oversight, systems coordination, event support, and general administration.
  • Providing leadership across the team, supporting effective workflows, people-related processes, and cultivating a high-performing, customer-focused culture.
  • Contributing to strategic planning, policy development, and continuous improvement initiatives within Property Services.

You will be a motivated, customer-focused professional who brings strong organisational capability, sound judgement, and the ability to build effective working relationships across a wide range of stakeholders. You take initiative, communicate confidently, and can balance multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

Key requirements:

  • Staff management or supervisor experience.
  • Experience in office management and/or service centre operations.
  • A minimum of three years’ experience in property management, including knowledge of leases and licences.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to adapt to different audiences.
  • High proficiency across the Microsoft Office suite.
