**About the Role**
**Position: Diesel Mechanic**
We’re looking for a skilled Diesel Mechanic to carry out repair/maintenance work on a range of heavy off-road machinery including loaders material handlers terminal tractors and forklifts. You’ll work in a fully equipped workshop with access to all the tooling and support you need to get the job done.
**Location: Gisborne Port**
**Status:** Full-time 4 on / 4 off roster working hours 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM
**Specific Responsibilities**- Replacing / repairing machinery components
- Servicing machinery
- Diagnosing and repairing a variety of heavy loaders excavators forklifts & trucks
- Repairs to attachments grapples & log heads
**Who we're after:**
We are seeking candidates who are Level 4 Trade Certified (preferably A grade). You should be familiar with hydraulic systems have a verified history of working on heavy vehicles / machinery hold a Minimum Class 2 License and demonstrate the ability to work both autonomously and in a small team environment with a positive can-do attitude.
