**The Role | Mo tenei turanga mahi**
This Registered Nurse role is based in our Acute Alternative Hutt Day service which provides an alternative care option to traditional hospital settings for people in mental distress, with high mental health support needs.
**Some of your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:**- Ensuring that service provision has a whanau focus
- Use nursing knowledge to assess, plan, implement, monitor, and evaluate tangata whai ora health needs
- Deliver innovative, responsive, high-quality services
- Develop effective and versatile methods of communication
- Provide both individual and group-based nursing interventions
- Develop and review individual support/goals plans with stakeholders, addressing physical, emotional, and spiritual wellbeing
**You will be working Monday to Friday 8:30am - 5pm, with an afterhours on-call component**
**About You | Mou**
We are interested to hear from Registered Nurses who have proven experience working with people facing mental health challenges.- Current registration with the Nursing Council with a current annual practising certificate
- Tertiary Level 7 Nursing Qualification
- Demonstrated commitment to continuing personal and professional development within RN scope of practice.
- Knowledge of mental health nursing theory, practice, legal boundaries, and ethical concerns.
- Current full, clean New Zealand driver's licence.
- Current New Zealand first aid certificate or be prepared to obtain one.
- Understanding of what you need for your own wellbeing.
- Knowledge of, and demonstrable commitment to, the articles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
