Cabinetmakers Wanted

Our pay: $28.00-$34.00 per hour depending on skills and experience

We are a kitchen manufacturing company based in Auckland.

We are now looking for 2 Cabinetmakers to join our supportive team. This is an exciting opportunity for the right people and will allow access into a reputable and experienced company.

Tasks you may carry out:

• Studying design plans and drawings to determine materials, dimensions and installation procedures
• Selecting timbers and other materials, and preparing layouts
• Measuring and cutting materials to the right size and shape
• Preparing and assembling the wood parts to make cabinet furniture or form sections of build-in furniture
• Erecting and installing cabinets, drawers, shelves and boards
• Fitting and repairing hardware, such as hinges, locks and catches
• Refurbishing and repairing the existing wood furniture and fittings
• Maintain and clean company power tools and equipment
• Ensuring that all activities undertaken are compliant with related regulations
• Prompt reporting of equipment defects and damage to management

To be successful you will need to:

• Have at least two years solid relevant experience, or
• Have a relevant NZ Level 4 qualification in Cabinetmaking or equivalent qualifications/certificates,
• Be a great team player, be able to follow instructions
• Be physically fit and willingness to work hard
• Good eye for details and an ability to solve problems practically and effectively
• Have "can-do" attitude
