Flooring Installer
Wellington
We are seeking a skilled Flooring Installer to join our team. As a Flooring Installer, you will be responsible for installing a variety of flooring types, including Hardwood, Laminate, Bamboo, Engineered Timber, SPC/Hybrid. You will work with customers to understand their flooring needs and provide recommendations on the best flooring installation.
Responsibilities:- Measure and cut flooring materials to fit rooms and spaces accurately
- Install various types of flooring, including Hardwood, Laminate, Bamboo, Engineered Timber, SPC/Hybrid
- Prepare subfloor surfaces for installation
- Repair or replace damaged flooring
- Communicate effectively with customers to understand their flooring needs and provide recommendations on installation
- Keep work areas/Vehicles/Tools clean and organized
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in flooring installation (will be an advantage but not required, full training will be provided) Also knowing to to install carpet and sheet vinyl will be beneficial.
- Knowledge of flooring materials and installation techniques (desirable)
- Prepare subfloors by cleaning, leveling, and smoothing surfaces.
- Install trim around the perimeter of rooms and at thresholds.
- Follow manufacturer instructions and specifications for installation.
- Ability to safely use and maintain various installation tools and equipment
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality work
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physical ability to lift heavy flooring materials and work on your knees for extended periods
Applicants for this position should have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.
Applicants will also need to hold a full drivers license.
