About the Role
Are you looking to contribute to the community in a meaningful way? Join our dedicated and hard-working Environmental Services Department and help maintain our facilities, while providing a suitable environment for our turoro (patients) and whanau (families).
You will be part of a small fast paced team that plays an essential part of maintaining Burwood Hospital. The team provides exceptional cleaning services 365 days a year, across both day and night shifts.
You will be responsible for:
- Completing all cleaning tasks to international healthcare standards
- Ensuring daily schedules and tasks are completed within set timeframes
- Operating and maintaining equipment safely around patients and whanau
- Handling cleaning solutions in accordance with safety protocols
Salary - Starting from $27.80 per hour. Based on the Etu Multi-Employer Collective Agreement.
Shift times- Thursday 0630-1500
- Friday 0630-1500
- Saturday 0700-1200
- Sunday 0700-1200
About You
We are looking for a reliable, hardworking and flexible candidate who is able to bring their passion for cleaning to our Burwood facility. This role will suit a candidate that is looking to help make the Hospital and hygienic and safe space for our patients and whanau.
Full training will be provided to all new staff joining our team.
Skills and Experience- Excellent communication skills, customer service and time management skills
- High level of patient confidentiality
- Ability to work independently and be self-motivated
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Experience as a cleaner, particularly within health, is preferred but not essential.
