Workshop Manager

Accessman Blenheim is Marlborough's leading access hire company, we supply a wide range of elevated working platforms (EWP) such as scissor lifts, cherry pickers & knuckle booms to the construction industry.

We are looking for a great all-rounder and someone who brings with them a special set of skills and has the ability to 'spot the problem.'

Position Summary: We are looking for someone who can,

• Be responsible for the day-to-day servicing and maintenance of the machine fleet whilst attending call outs within Marlborough
• Assist with repairs/maintenance of machines in the workshop
• Perform maintenance checks on machines and keep maintenance records up to date in our computer system
• Respond to breakdown callouts
• Communicate with clients and assist in serving customers
• Deliver and collect machines
• Assist with general yard duties including de hire checks and cleaning of equipment/vehicles if necessary
• Perform other duties that may arise as requested

Position Specifications:

• An Industry qualification is preferred; Auto Electrician, Mechanic, Engineer or similar
• Excellent time management skills whilst maintaining the required level of professionalism and quality
• A full NZ driver’s licence, preferably with Class 2 HT or above
• Basic computer skills necessary
• Silver Card /IPAF – training provided

• Self motivated and can work autonomously whilst working efficiently within a team environment
• Enthusiastic with great people skills
• A practical nature and an understanding of the industry
• High degree of loyalty and integrity
• An ability to make informed decisions, recommend action and implement
• High level of personal grooming and hygiene
