Join our Nursing Resource Team based at Whakatāne Hospital and play a key part in delivering exceptional patient care. As a Health Care Assistant (HCA), you will be the backbone of support for our nursing staff, stepping in when and where you are needed the most.

Whether assisting with mobility, personal care, or ensuring a comfortable environment for patients, your contribution will be valued and impactful.This permanent full-time role working 1.0FTE (40 hours per week) involves rostered shifts, including mornings, afternoons, nights, and weekends - offering variety and flexibility in your work schedule.About the Team/Service/ LocationThe Nursing Resource Team is a dynamic and responsive workforce that provides essential support across multiple hospital departments.

Your ability to adapt quickly, work within a multidisciplinary team, and provide excellent support to nursing staff will make you an invaluable member of our team. Essential skills and experience:Certificate in Health Care Assistance Level 4 (or equivalent qualification).Experience working as an HCA preferably in a healthcare or related setting.Ability to work a rotating roster across all shifts, including weekends and nights.Working for Health New ZealandHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is dedicated to ensuring excellent healthcare for the people of New Zealand.
