Mō te tūnga | About the roleDefence Logistics Command (DLC) supports NZDF by providing support summarised as 'feed, fuel, fix, arm, move, procure, pay'.This position is responsible for the direction in respect to the conduct of Army catering support and importantly ensuring the delivery of Army's legislative and compliance requirements.

You will become the SME and provide technical advice with regards to catering technical policy, doctrine, systems and processes, guidance and support, food technology and NZ legislative requirements.

You will also be responsible for the day
-to-day contract management of all catering related contracts.
All while assessing for continual improvement, efficiencies and effectiveness.This role is based in Trentham.

Once you have undergone training and are up to speed, there is the option of a flexible working arrangement.Please Note: The formal title for this role within NZDF is NZDF Class 1 Supply Systems RegulatorNgā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and ExperienceThis unique role will require you to fully understand the regulations and legislation regarding catering operations and food safety.

Ideally you will have 15 years in the top end catering environment.

Other key skills needed:Experience in contract management including budget, finance and auditingEffective project management skillsStrong communication and relationship management skillsLeadership, mentoring and coaching experienceClean Class 1 full Driver's Licence.No candidate is expected to meet every desired skill / experience listed.
