Insurance Assessor / Heavy Diesel Mechanic
We are proud to be a family owned and operated specialist Insurance Assessing company based in West Auckland, supplying both Insurance Assessing & Loss Adjusting Services on a nationwide level to multiple NZ & Offshore Insurers.
We are currently seeking a high calibre Automotive Engineer (Heavy Equipment Qualified Diesel Mechanic) for ourselves to train into the Insurance Assessing/Loss Adjuster role, and join us as we execute our growth plans for 2026.
This placement will be for February/March 2026.

Key skills and requirements for this role include:
Automotive Engineer (Heavy Equipment/Diesel Mechanic) Trade Certificate, Service Manager or Mechanical qualification comparable, with minimum 10 years hands on experience
Conversant with all types of Construction, Forestry, Agriculture, Mining Heavy Plant & Machinery, and Heavy Road Transport
Clear understanding of the Health & Safety Act
Able to self-manage, be proactive and have strong time management skills
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Attention to detail, while having the ability to work in a fast paced ever changing environment
Able to work unsupervised and in a team environment
Would be an advantage, but not necessary:
Insurance Industry recognised qualification, or prepared to study towards
Able to write detailed and informative reports in multi format (training will be given)
The role will be full time, being Monday - Friday, and we are looking for a positive nature, motivated can do attitude, someone who thinks outside the box when it comes to providing solutions to unforeseen issues, and the right person to complement the company.

You will require a current NZ drivers licence, be prepared to travel anywhere within NZ on a minutes notice, and possibly stay away overnight on occasion as required.Applicants for this position must have NZ residency, and a good command of the English language.
