Motel Manager – Napier | Full-Time Role

We’re a locally owned, well established motel in sunny Napier, and we’re looking for a trustworthy, experienced Motel Manager to lead the day to day operations of the business.

This is a key leadership role perfect for someone who thrives under pressure, takes full ownership of operations, and leads with initiative as if it were their own business. • A natural leader with experience in motel or hotel management
• Someone who can take full responsibility for operations, guest experience, staff coordination, and property presentation
• A confident problem-solver who can handle everything from guest concerns to maintenance emergencies
• A dedicated professional who cares deeply about the success of the business
• Someone with the maturity, honesty, and initiative to work unsupervised

• Manage front office operations, including guest check-ins, check-outs, and reservations
• Respond to guest needs and complaints professionally and promptly
• Supervise housekeeping and maintenance teams to maintain high standards
• Monitor inventory, supplies, and maintenance needs
• Maintain booking records using PMS and online travel agents (Booking.com, Expedia, etc.)
• Be available to respond to urgent situations outside regular hours when necessary

• Proven experience in motel/hotel operations (minimum 1 year preferred)
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
• Calm, flexible, and positive under pressure
• Reliable transport (no accommodation provided)
• Must be legally entitled to work in New Zealand
