The Bakehouse Cafe in Ngaruawahia is looking for a reliable and motivated Baker to join our team. This is a full-time permanent position responsible for preparing and baking a range of baked goods for our cafe.
Key duties include:- Preparing and measuring baking ingredients according to recipes
- Mixing, kneading and shaping dough
- Baking bread, donuts, pies, cakes and other baked goods
- Operating bakery equipment such as mixers and ovens
- Monitoring baking temperatures and baking times
- Maintaining food safety and hygiene standards
- Assisting with daily bakery production and preparation
- Pay: $30 per hour
- Hours: Minimum 30 hours per week (up to 40 hours depending on business needs)
- Location: Ngaruawahia, Waikato
- Employment type: Permanent full-time
- At least 1 year experience in baking or similar kitchen work
- Good understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
- Ability to work early morning shifts if required
- Reliable and able to work as part of a team
