Baker – Full Time

The Bakehouse Cafe in Ngaruawahia is looking for a reliable and motivated Baker to join our team. This is a full-time permanent position responsible for preparing and baking a range of baked goods for our cafe.

Key duties include:
  • Preparing and measuring baking ingredients according to recipes
  • Mixing, kneading and shaping dough
  • Baking bread, donuts, pies, cakes and other baked goods
  • Operating bakery equipment such as mixers and ovens
  • Monitoring baking temperatures and baking times
  • Maintaining food safety and hygiene standards
  • Assisting with daily bakery production and preparation
Job details:
  • Pay: $30 per hour
  • Hours: Minimum 30 hours per week (up to 40 hours depending on business needs)
  • Location: Ngaruawahia, Waikato
  • Employment type: Permanent full-time
Requirements:
  • At least 1 year experience in baking or similar kitchen work
  • Good understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
  • Ability to work early morning shifts if required
  • Reliable and able to work as part of a team
