The Downer Transport & Infrastructure operation are busy delivering the SH1 Tirau to Waiouru (T2W) Project and are seeking an experienced **TTM Supervisor** to oversee the projects Traffic Management activities.

The T2W Project is an accelerated road renewal programme where 4 years of work will be delivered over a 16-month timeframe. This work will reduce pesky potholes and increase road user safety for years to come!

**Te** **kowhiringa | The Opportunity**

As TTM Supervisor you will be responsible for leading and supporting traffic management crews across multiple worksites, ensuring the safe, compliant, and efficient delivery of temporary traffic management operations. This role involves providing direction to STMS and field teams, optimises resource utilisation, and ensures that all activities align with TMP requirements, Zero Harm principles, and client expectations.

You will be someone who can lead the frontline and be responsible for ensuring that a positive, Zero Harm culture is maintained. You will also: ?
  • Engage with subcontractors and labour hire partners as delegated by the TTM Manager.
  • Be responsible for conducting on Site TTM Audits and CCA's, providing frequent updates and analyses on trends to the TTM Manager.
  • Support the TTM Manager in responding to customer queries and complaints in a timely and professional manner.
  • Ensure appropriate resourcing and work allocation structures are in place and involve teams in setting clear and achievable performance targets.
  • Assist in the selection, coaching and development of staff.

**This is a Full-Time, Fixed-Term opportunity with an expected end date in March 2026.**

The TTM Supervisor will possess strong leadership skills, exceptional problem-solving abilities, and a keen understanding of traffic management protocols and regulations, as well as:

  • Class 2 Full New Zealand Drivers Licence
  • A proven track record of supervising teams and subcontractors in a range of maintenance/construction activities.
  • Previous experience leading an operational traffic management team or similar.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively across all levels
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving capabilities, particularly in high-pressure or time-sensitive situations.
  • Essential to have a depth of knowledge and experience in the Traffic Management and construction sectors.
  • Class 2 Full New Zealand Drivers Licence
