Forklift Operator

Crusader Meats NZ Ltd is a progressive Meat Export Company located just out of Bennydale. We have an excellent reputation for quality and service.

We are seeking a reliable, enthusiastic and hardworking person to join our Load Out team as a Forklift Operator.

Applicants must be physically fit to satisfy the demands of the position. In return we offer benefits above legislation entitlements for qualifying employees including our attendance incentive scheme.

This is a full-time permanent position, with a minimum of 30 hours per week guaranteed, and will be remunerated between $25 – $30 per hour depending on skill and previous training/experience.

The duties include but are not limited to:

• Load and unload Trucks
• Load and Unload Blast Freezers
• Stack chilled & frozen stillage in specified areas
• Load in and out of Loadout area
• Stores products inwards & outwards

The right candidate must:

• Hold a current New Zealand driver’s licence or an equivalent International License and have a reliable vehicle.
• Hold a current qualification as a forklift operator (NZQA 10851)
• Have at least 2 years of relevant work experience as a Forklift Operator in a Meat Processing environment/factory.
• Be able to speak and understand spoken and written English

The candidate should also have experience in, and an understanding of, industry hygiene standards, biosecurity protocols and food safety regulations.

Normal hours of work for the position is Monday to Friday 6.50am to 5:30pm, with some Saturday work required over peak season.
