In addition, on some occasions the role may be required to support other districts, with appropriate orientation.

You have a strong interest in child health and can advocate for children and the families of those who access the Vision and Hearing Screening Service.You're able to provide appropriate health education and vision and hearing related health issues and maintain accurate client records.Skills and ExperienceExperienced in the field of vision and/or hearingPreferably a background in health and/or educationA current full New Zealand drivers' licence for class 1 = Motor vehicleWorking knowledge of MS Office programmes including ExcelAble to meet the organizational requirements for working with childrenExperience with working with a wide range of culturesDemonstrated mature communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to write and present in a clear, persuasive, and impactful way, to influence others to embrace change, and to develop, unify and maintain strong internal and external relationships essential for achieving sustainable outcomesMeet the statutory and organisational requirements for working with children, as per the Children's Act 2014 and Health NZ | Te Whatu Ora policy, including a satisfactory police check and other safety checking processesWorking for Health New ZealandHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is dedicated to ensuring excellent healthcare for the people of New Zealand.
